May and October Weddings in North Carolina

Mountain Magnolia Inn – Asheville, NC

The most popular months to get married in North Carolina are May and October. Wedding dates in these two months book up very fast. So, if you are planning for your wedding to take place during these months, you need to book your wedding vendors as soon as possible, including your reception venue if you have not already done so.

I believe these months to be the most popular among Carolina brides and grooms for a couple of reasons—the seasons and its weather make them great months to host an outdoor wedding. Whether you wish to have a destination wedding with majestic mountains in the background in Asheville, NC or a beach wedding in Emerald Isle or Bald Head Island, May and October is a time of the year where the weather tends to be very beautiful—it’s not too hot, nor is it too cool for an outdoor wedding.

In addition, May offers beautiful spring flowers that are blossoming everywhere and October is full of colorful fall foliage making it the ideal month to host a fall wedding. Both spring weddings and fall weddings are extremely popular here in North Carolina.
