I love, love, love this bridal look from Cabaret Vintage. It’s vintage, with a little twist. The cocktail length dress, its color, the bridal hat, and the shoes are fabulous. I stumbled across this gown design on the Toronto Wedding Society‘s website and I just had to post it for you brides who love all things vintage.

Timeless!

The Bridal Fashion Accessory for 2011

Inspired by the St. Erasmus jewelry collection?

I am captivated by the jewelry line, especially the necklaces. In fact, I predict this year that stylish brides will be go above and beyond with their bridal gown accessories, specifically by making a big statement by adorning their neckline with magnificent pieces of art — haute couture necklaces.

I first blogged about haute couture necklaces when I featured the work of another jewelry designer last summer after seeing her work featured on the cover of the summer issue of Eco-Beautiful Weddings and since, I have become more enamored with vintage-inspired necklaces.

The St. Erasmus Jewelry collections are designed by Pieter Louis Erasmus and his designs are “Steeped in cross cultural inspiration from the textures of the African landscape and India…” and most famously worn by First Lady Michelle Obama.

Featured below is a necklace from his current collection for Winter 2011, which is inspired by the character, Holly Golightly from the film ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s played by Audrey Hepburn.

The collection harks of an era of forgotten grace, elegance and romance – keeping up appearances and eternal glamour. With an intense colour palette of dark greys, clear crystal and reflective silver hematite surfaces, the range draws upon classic vintage styling and effortlessly unites this with bold impactful silhouettes. Featuring multifaceted glossy, matte and iridescent surfaces and textures and building abstract oversized pieces, the ST•ERASMUS Autumn/Winter collection… [is] a true style statement in the volatile ultra-modern era.

Vintage Fabric Bouquets

It has taken me a while to warm up to the idea of fabric bridal bouquets. However, this bridal bouquet just caught my eye on Etsy from The Artsy Butterfly shop. Is this not the prettiest fabric bouquet you have seen…from the vintage lace, the color scheme, the layers of fabric, the different textures, and well everything? In my Paula Deen’s voice, I’ve had a change of heart “y’all” about fabric bouquets.

Rustic Barn Wedding Tablescape Inspiration

Posted by Tabitha on Oct 1, 2010 in event design | 0 comments

I was just browsing on Etsy looking for some fall wedding inspiration, but instead stumbled upon this stunningly beautiful tablescape, designed by Stage Right, Etc. I am so inspired by this “shabby chic” tablescape from the rustic barn setting, to the sheer ceiling canopy, to the hanging lanterns, to the moss table runner, which is available at Bragging Bags’ Etsy store, well everything in this mockup design, including the hay on the floor.

If you are planning a barn wedding and are looking for a bit of inspiration on how to add a touch of elegance to your rustic wedding venue, please be sure to check out more details of this “shabby chic” wedding mockup, photographed by Jessica Zais Photography. Get Inspired!

Vintage-Inspired – Couture Bridal Hair Accessories

Posted by Tabitha on Jan 8, 2010 in bridal gowns, vintage weddings | 0 comments

*This is a re-post and content has been modified. I first blogged about birdcage veils and couture hair accessories back in 2008 when they were initially becoming popular among modern brides, who were looking for an alternative to the traditional and outdated wedding veil.
With the renewed popularity of birdcage veils, I am sure that more brides will sport them down the aisle for the 2010 wedding season. However, if you are truly into couture hair accessories, I suggest that checkout bridal hats designed by Artikal Handcrafted Millinery. I learned about them back over the summer and felt in love with their collection.

These modern styled veils and hair accessories are vintage-inspired, but with a modern twist. I, especially love the texture of and little details that went into these designs. Don’t you? They are perfect for high-end bridal photo session.

Posted by Tabitha on Dec 10, 2009 in bridal gowns, vintage weddings | 0 comments

Are you a vintage-inspired bride?

If so, I invite you to check out the 2010 wedding shoe collection by Di Hassall. In her newest collection, she utilitizes “luxurious fabrics from soft silk chiffon and ethereal organza, pleated and embroided,” including wedding shoes adorned with Swarovki crystals.

These are a few of my favorites from Di Hassall 2010 wedding shoe collection. What’s great about Di Hassall’s bridal shoe collection is that each shoe is handmade and you can get your wedding date branded on the suede leather sole of the shoes.

How fun and cute are these vintage-inspired wedding shoes! They are perfect for summer wedding. What do you think?
